The genre of FKA Twigs is Trip hop, Trip hop is a type of
electronic music that originated in the early 1990s in the United Kingdom, it
has influences from music such as soul, funk and Jazz, but it is mostly a
fusion of hip hop and electronic music. Common musical aesthetics includes a
bass heavy drum beat (that you hear in some electronic songs) which often
emulates the slowed break beat samples which is typical in most hip hop songs. The
vocals are often female and it features characteristics of different and unique
singing styles which include R&B, Jazz and rock, the fact that it can
influence both R&B and Jazz is because it is a female voice which is mostly
associated with these genres of music as females are more common within that
